Why password managers matter for SOC 2
SOC 2's Security criteria expect you to control who can access systems and data. A business password manager helps you show that: shared credentials sit in access-controlled vaults, SSO and SCIM tie accounts to your identity provider so offboarding removes access, and event logs give your auditor evidence. A password manager does not make you SOC 2 compliant by itself; your auditor decides which controls apply. Some vendors here also hold their own SOC 2 Type 2 reports, which you can request for vendor-risk reviews.
